At the John Spoor Broome Library, we know that our campus community is made up of more than books, databases, and study spaces. Our campus and library is made up of people with unique passions, stories, and talents. That’s why we’re launching a new blog series that’s equal parts fun and informative.
In each post, we’ll highlight the interests of the people who make Broome Library such a vibrant place (our faculty, staff, student workers, and interns!) and connect their passions to resources, services, and hidden gems you can find right here in the library.

In this blog, you'll find everything from book recommendations, to behind-the-scenes glimpses from the library, hobby spotlights that the library can help you with, library displays that reflect our campus communities, and tips on making the most of library tools. Did you know that we have horror films on our streaming databases? Books to teach you how to crochet? Equipment to help you become the next Oscar-winning director and film editor?
Whether you’re here to learn, explore, or just get to know the people behind the desk a little better, we invite you to join us on this journey. After all, the library isn’t just a building: it’s a community. And this blog is our way of bringing that community to life, one story at a time.

We hope you subscribe because you’ll discover something new in every installment!
