June is LGBTQI+ Pride Month! Pride Month is celebrated annually in June to honor the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, which was a defining moment for the Gay Liberation Movement. The month celebrates and recognizes the achievements and contributions of the LGBTQI+ community that have made an impact locally, nationally, and around the world. Pride Month also memorializes those in the community who were lost to HIV/AIDS and hate crimes.
This guide highlights resources and collections that celebrate LGBTQI+ history. You'll find resources from CSU Channel Islands' own John Spoor Broome Library as well as from around the web.
