    Originally organized in 1885 and incorporated in 1923 the AEA is an association of economic professionals with half of its membership coming from the academic community. It is the publisher offour economic journals: American Economic Review, The Journal of Economic Literature, The Journal of Economic Perspectives, and American Economic Journals.

  • Bloomberg News
    Bloomberg covers global markets and news from all aspects of the economy including science, arts & culture, and politics.

  • CIA World Factbook
    The CIA World Factbook provides the history and statistics for 267 world entries. It also includes maps and flags for the different countries.

  • Federal Reserve
    The central bank of the United States.

  • International Monetary Fund
    The IMF is an organization of 188 countries,which was originally created in 1944 at the end of WWII in order to stabilize exchange rates and foster trade. According to the IMF its main objective is to monitor the economic stability of member countries and has a lending power of $750 billion. It is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

  • Standard & Poor’s
    The S&P is a world leader is corporate and financial market intelligence. S&P provides investors with:credit ratings, indices, investment research, and risk evaluation. The web site offers a majority of information for free, but ratings are only for registered wholesale clients and registration is free.
