Mission
The Lagomarsino Department of Archives and Special Collections is dedicated to the preservation of historical documents and artifacts, while simultaneously serving as a higher educational resource, by providing unique learning opportunities for students, scholars, and the general public.
Acquisition Policy
The Archives acquires primary and secondary source materials that pertain to Ventura County history. The materials must offer substantial research-oriented availability or special collection interest.
The materials must reference significant or notable personalities, events, and topics of interest generating from or about Ventura County, reflecting the effect(s) and impact(s) on the county made by the subject or topic of the collection. The Archives also collects materials relevant to the University’s history and its current curriculum.
