Find newspapers

Newspaper Search Portal

Many major newspapers are fully indexed in OneSearch so their articles can quickly be discovered in the Newspaper Search portal, which only searches newspaper articles.  It's a great place to start your searching, particularly for recent (1980-present) newspaper articles:

Search for Newspaper articles

This search will only bring up available newspaper articles.

You can also get to Newspaper Search through the normal OneSearch portal.  To focus search results on only newspaper articles, select Newspaper Articles under the Resource Type facet at the left side of the results page.

Why Search Newspaper Databases Directly?

Certain newspaper databases are not indexed at the article level in OneSearch and must be searched directly to discover article content.  See News & Newspapers for a list of current news sources (approximately 1980- to the present), or Historical Newspapers for a list of older sources (or use the named tabs in this research guide).

Any A-Z database with the icon to the left indicates that its newspapers are indexed at the article level in OneSearch & are discoverable via keyword search. Note that newspaper articles must be accessed through OneSearch's Newspaper portal, as they are segregated from all other search results.

Find by Newspaper Title
